Proposed talks

To help organizing, we put in this page the brut list of spontaneous talk (or debate) submissions. It is NOT the list of agreed talks ; this point, along with timing and placement, will be decided by TSB and organizing committees.

If you want to submit, do not hesitate ; for the moment a simple sentence describing the subject is accepted (the best is also to join a web pointer toward some more complete pages) :

See the talk materials page for sending your presentations to the local organizers.

Paulo Mora de Freitas :

Geant4 and Tesla.

Marc Verderi :

Status of Generic EM Shower.

Guy Barrand : Scheduled for Wednesday morning first session :
ESA :

XMM & Chandra : what happened next, 10'.

The LowE em group :
F.W.Jones (TRIUMF) :

Geant4-Tinderbox and Web-based System Testing

Hans Peter Wellisch :

Issues for the physics/particles plenary session :

Issues for a physics/particles parallel session :
Jesus Marco and David Rodriguez : Forseen for Wednesday morning first session or a // session dedicated on XML :

We would like to propose for consideration the topic of use of XML as common format to interface/decouple databases use to store hit information and geometrical info. We have been implementing hits in XML format (in the CMS program OSCAR) and think it is a good solution: the DTD allows a clear specification and the current standard software allows storing the info in this way into O/R and OO Databases.

Isidro Gonzalez Caballero : Scheduled for Wednesday morning first session :

Geant4 GUI built using Root.

Vladimir Ivanchenko (~15'):

Status of hadron/ion ionisation :

In this talk the status of GEANT4 energy loss simulation for hadrons/ions will be presented. The new design of hadron/ion ionisation in lowenergy domain will be discussed. The comparison with experimental data will be performed.

Vladimir Grichine :

Parametrised models for implementation of X-ray transition radiation in the GEANT4 package :

An implementation of parameterisation models provided by the GEANT4 package for the description of the X-ray transition radiation (XTR) produced by a relativistic charged particle in a multi layered medium is discussed. The implementation allows us to calculate the number of XTR photons, their energy and angular spectra in a number of XTR radiators of practical interest. Comparison of simulation with experimental data from gaseous detectors is presented.

Vladimir Grichine :

An implementation of ionisation energy loss in very thin absorbers for the GEANT4 package :

We discuss an implementation of Photo Absorption Ionisation model describing ionisation energy loss produced by a relativistic charged particle in very thin absorbers. The implementation allows us to calculate ionisation energy losses in any material consisting of elements with atomic numbers in the range 1-100. Comparisons of simulation with experimental data from gaseous and solid state detectors are presented.

Hajime Yoshida (~15mn) : Scheduled for Wednesday morning first session :

How Geant4 can go with the Java environments? - A case study with JAS -

By introducing the recent implementation by Tony of the interfaces with JAS, I will discuss the Java's possibility of enriching new aspects to Geant4. Tony's work is here.
