In addition to the welcome reception at Bordeaux City Hall on the 3rd of November, a special social program has been prepared for the 5-6th of November weekend.

Saturday 5th afternoon (2:30 PM – 6:30 PM)

Two buses will leave the Château Chartons hotel after lunch (included in conference) at 2:30 PM. The buses will drive the participants to the famous Saint Emilion village, close to the Dordogne river. There, participants will attend a train tour of the village with cellar visits and wine tasting. Free time will also be offered to those who prefer to discover the village by themselves. Many wine shops offering wine tasting, local specialties and souvenirs are available.

Saturday 5th evening (6:30 PM – 11 PM)

After a short bus trip, the participants will attend a welcome reception at the Auberge Chateau Cros Figeac; wine tasting will be organized. A traditional south west dinner will be served. At 11 PM, participants will be driven back to Bordeaux and dropped at their hotels.

 

Sunday 6th full day (10 AM – 20 PM)

Two buses will leave the Château Chartons hotel at 10 AM and will drive the participants towards the beautiful city of Arcachon on the ocean coast. Participants will have a quick seafood lunch in Gujan Mestras on the ocean waterfront (lunch included). After lunch, a 2 h boat tour will take the participants to discover the bassin d'Arcachon (cabanes tchanquées, bird island, oyster parks, Cap Ferret villages, …). For those who prefer to stay on the mainland, a bus will drive them to the Dune du Pyla (you can climb freely the sand dune) and to the beautiful beaches. At 7 PM, the bus will drive the participants back to Bordeaux.
